Your privacy, in plain terms

CardiCap is a card game. This page explains what happens to your information when you play it — the short version is: almost nothing leaves your device.

What we collect

CardiCap does not require an account and does not collect personal information. The only data the app handles is:

• Your player name — the name you type in on the home screen, stored only on your device so it's remembered next time you open the app.
• Game state — scores, round progress, and settings, also stored locally on your device.

None of this is sent to us or to any server. We don't operate a backend that CardiCap talks to.

Playing with others nearby

"Host" and "Join" use your device's local networking (Wi-Fi/Bluetooth) to connect directly to nearby players' devices for the duration of a game. This connection is peer-to-peer between the devices at the table — gameplay data (card reveals, scores, turns) passes directly between players' phones and is not routed through, or stored on, any server we control.

"Pass & Play" happens entirely on one device and involves no networking at all.

Analytics and advertising

CardiCap does not currently use any third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Children's privacy

Because CardiCap doesn't collect personal information from anyone, it doesn't knowingly collect information from children either.

Data retention and deletion

All app data lives on your device. Deleting the app deletes it. There's nothing stored elsewhere to separately request removal of.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future update adds analytics or online features — we'll update this page and change the date above.
