Ways to play
HostStart a nearby multiplayer game on your device. Other players join from their own devices.
JoinFind and join a CardiCap game being hosted nearby.
Pass & PlayPlay together on a single device, passing it between players when turns change.
Tap the gear icon on the home screen before starting a game to change the grid, scoring and other game rules.
How CardiCap works
The aim is simple: finish the round with the lowest score.
Each player starts with a grid of face-down cards. Reveal any two of your own cards.
On your turn, either draw a card from the deck or take the top card from the discard pile.
If you draw from the deck, you can swap the card with any card in your grid — or discard it and reveal one of your face-down cards instead.
If you take the discard, swap it with a card in your grid.
Complete a matching line of cards with the same value to clear it. Whether rows, columns, or both can be cleared depends on your game settings.
When one player has revealed all of their remaining cards, every other player gets one final turn.
Scores are then calculated automatically according to the rules you chose. Lowest score wins.
Troubleshooting
I can't find a nearby game
First, make sure the other player has started a game using Host and that you're both nearby. Turn on Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on both devices, then check that CardiCap has permission to access your local network: Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → CardiCap. Keep the devices within a few metres of each other while connecting.
A player disconnected during the game
If the game is still available, return to the home screen on the disconnected device, tap Join, and reconnect to the same table.
Can I change the grid size or game rules?
Yes. Tap the gear icon on the home screen before starting a game. Changes apply to the next game you start.
